Hi,

The OTDT 1.2.0 Milestone 3 has been uploaded to the server.
Most of the issues described in the M2 announcement have
been settled to the point that normal uses of the OTDT are
possible without disruptions by the infrastructure.

The recommended installation procedure is now reduced to:
 * Install Eclipse 3.4 RC4
   (from http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads)
 * Add update site http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/otdt-updates-1.2
 * Select these two features:
   + Category "OTDT 1.2.x based on Eclipse 3.4" 
     -> "Object Teams Development Tooling"
   + Category "Various patches for Eclipse 3.4"
     -> "OSGIPatchFeature"
 * Install & Restart

In addition to a regular OTDT install, this performs two modifications
to your Eclipse installation:
 * Add two Sun-specific vm-arguments to eclipse.ini for deadlock avoidance.
   (cf. http://trac.objectteams.org/ot/ticket/122#change_0)
 * Replace the org.eclipse.osgi bundle with a version containing the 
   patch from https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=235006#c6
   (avoiding infinite splash screen loop at restart).

With these temporary workarounds the OTDT 1.2.0M3 runs fairly smoothly
as also demonstrated by the current test results, see:

Starting with this M3 I'd like to encourage you to try the new version.
Should you encounter any problems please send feedback either to this list
or directly submit corresponding trac tickets. Hopefully, by the time
of the final 1.2.0 release, the OTDT will have no regressions compared to
the 1.1.9 release.
