Dear all,
After Eclipse has released an unscheduled 3.3.1.1, we now have a new OTDT
that is based upon this new release.
(Eclipse 3.3.1.1 is included in the full binary release OTDT 1.1.4,
incremental updates can be applied individually).
The bulk of changes is now documented using a Trac report, the manual
buildnotes (http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/otdt_buildnotes_1.1.html)
only mention the major changes that have not yet been tracked via trac.
For your convenience, here is the list of highlights shown also on the news
page and in the RSS feed:
* Adopt the Eclipse maintenance release 3.3.1.1
* New feature in OT/Equinox: forced exports.
https://guest@svn.objectteams.org/trac/ot/wiki/OtEquinox/ConfigIni#ForcedExports
* Support call hierarchy of all write accesses to a given field.
* Bug fixes etc. (trac report http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/tickets_OTDT_1.1.4.html)
Interestingly, the largest difficulty in putting together the 1.1.4 release was
caused by various JVMs crashing during the test suites. These issues don't
seem to effect interactively running the workbench, though.
I hope this will not cause further trouble. Does anybody have experience with
running Eclipse on a non-Sun JVM?
enjoy,
Stephan
PS: Anybody, who would like to have a Trac account for creating tickets (bug
reports, feature requests) or editing the wiki, please email me, as Trac does
not have a mechanism were you could register yourself.
