Where did you learn about this technique? 
What das a directory "links" mean for Eclipse?

What I can see is, that your installation does not put our file
configuration/config.ini into the proper place. So could you please
try to copy 
	 "G:\My EclipsePlugin\otdt\configuration\config.ini"
to directory
	"c:\prg\eclipse\configuration"
(to be really safe, you may want to make a backup of the original config.ini)
For the next start of Eclipse you may need to add a "-clean" command 
line argument (not sure).

OK, you also tried OTDT 1.0.0, but unfortunately I can't see
the information I asked for regarding the exact version string for
the plug-in org.eclipse.jdt.ui.
