Hi everybody,
Yes, really, apart from very few unsupported features (TPX-480, TPX-434,
and some refactorings), both our test suites find no more bugs in our
software! Thanks again to all those who helped to achieve this result!
Today I specially ask you to try the download (either as update or the
full download), so that, if all goes well, I can send a public announcement
out to different mailing lists on Friday.
Everything can be found in the usual locations:
http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/otdt_buildnotes.html
http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/otdt.html
Here are a few highlights regarding this release:
Language enhancements/clarifications:
- callout-to-static-field can now be used without a role instance
- callout-shorthand now declares the exceptions of its base method
- declared lifting for the exceptions in a catch clause: catch (Exc as R er)
Toolsupport:
- ExtractMethod, RenameField, PasteCallin, PasteCallout refactorings are back
- Fixed some memory leaks.
For long running OTDT sessions this is a relevant performance improvement
- Improved completion to create callout bindings
- Improved incremental compilation, "Project->clean" should not be needed now.
- More complete decapsulation support like invisible base constructor, or
inherited invisible method.
- OT/Equinox: new attribute activation in extension point aspectBinding
Please report anything unexpected while browsing our web pages or installing
and using the tool.
Have fun!
Stephan
PS: my special wishes of the day go to Ralf, he knows why ;-)
