Dear users,

in time for the AOSD (starting on March 20th) we are preparing a new
OTDT release 0.8.18. For you the release candidate is available via a
temporary update site: http://www.objectteams.org/distrib/otdt-update-0818

Please go ahead, install it, try it and report any problems you discover.
Around Thursday the actual release will be shipped.

What's in the release:
- many bug fixes
- in some cases the language became more complete without really defining
new features (e.g., callin bindings regarding static methods; thanks Jürgen).
- the "base" keyword can now be used in parameter mappings
- searching and completion are improving
There are two significant new features, too:
+ initial support for debugging OT-specific code
(Ralf, would you like to provide three sentences for the release notes?)
+ teams can now be (de)activated for individual threads.
(Christine, do you also have three sentences?)

One note of incompatibility: the language definition included in the
release and also the examples might show minor inconsistencies.

Once again, many thanks to all contributors!
Stephan
